Program Description:
Participants will learn how to respond effectively to the warning signs of a patient beginning to lose control, while also addressing how staff can deal with their own stress, anxieties, and emotions when confronted with these challenging situations. On day one students will learn techniques that will enable them to safely remove themselves and others from a dangerous situation. On day two participants will expand their training to include methods of non-harmful, nonviolent physical crisis intervention that are used as a last resort when the individual becomes an immediate danger to one-self and others. |
