Program Description:
This course will assist the IEN to integrate into the Canadian healthcare system by focusing on the relevant non-clinical aspects of providing healthcare in Canada. The course content is delivered in a variety of formats, which include lecture, case studies, group work, and a documentation practice component. The course content includes an Overview of the Canadian health Care System; Nursing in Canada; provincial nursing practice standards; the CNA nursing code of ethics; Documentation; Culture and Cultural Diversity; Leadership, Delegation and Charge Nurse Responsibility; Conflict and Communication; the Healthcare Team and Customer Service. |
